Code of Conduct

BioSingapore Members shall:

Conduct their work with objectivity and themselves with integrity, being honest and truthful in reporting and communicating their professional endeavours.
Conduct professional activities without discrimination against clients or colleagues (grounds for discrimination include, but are not limited to: race, color, ethnic origin, gender, sexual orientation and disability)
Have a right to be treated with dignity and respect
Not disclose or authorise to be disclosed, or use for personal gain or to benefit a third party, confidential information except with the permission of the relevant authority or at the direction of a court of law.
Seek to upgrade professional knowledge and skill and shall maintain awareness of relevant technological developments, procedures and standards and encourage subordinates to do likewise.
Respect intellectual property rights and not knowingly infringe such rights
Give due consideration to the ethical, legal, social and policy implications of any research and communication arising from this research.
Abstain from professional judgments influenced by undisclosed conflict of interest, disclose any material conflicts of interest and avoid situations that imply a conflict of interest.
Observe the spirit, as well as the letter, of laws, regulations, and ethical standards as appropriate.
Practice high standards of environmental and occupational health and safety for the benefit of themselves, their co-workers, their families, their communities, and society in which they live.
